2011 Edition

Montreal, February 1, 2011 ─ Organized in collaboration with the Borough of Outremont, LES TROIS JOURS DE CASTELIERS is back for Spring Break, March 3 to 6, 2011. This sixth edition offers outstanding performances by professional artists from here and abroad, highlighting various puppetry techniques. The festival is aimed at adult and family audiences and this edition spotlights Object Theater.

LES TROIS JOURS DE CASTELIERS will host the STUFED PUPPET THEATER from the Netherlands, the Swedish DOCKTEATERVERKSTAN, the BAKELITE and TURAK companies from France, DENIS ATHIMON from Rennes, RAG AND BONE PUPPET THEATER from Ontario, and several companies from Quebec: PUPULUS MORDICUS, LE THÉÂTRE DE LA PIRE ESPÈCE, LES SAGES FOUS, MARCELLE HUDON, 2BOYS.TV, CATHERINE VIDAL, ZACH FRASER, MAGALI CHOUINARD and many more…

Hosted at the magnificent Théâtre Outremont since 2006, this year’s festival will also hold performances at the nearby Paul-Gérin-Lajoie-d’Outremont school. We wish to thank the school principal, Danielle Couillard, for generously hosting performances in their auditorium. We are also happy about another first this year – our collaboration with OBORO for the presentation of a work in progress.

Heads buzzing with projects, hearts filled with hope, and arms open wide, we welcome you to this sixth edition of our festival dedicated to the timeless art of puppetry.
