Pierre Robitaille is an exceptional puppeteer. He has been practising his craft in Québec City for over thirty years now (with passion!), excelling in puppet design, building and manipulation.

After studying visual arts and graphic design at Université Laval, Pierre moved on to theatre and worked as a puppeteer on Radio-Canada’s children’s television shows Kim et Clip and La Ribambelle.

In 1995, he co-founded, with Martin Genest, Theatre Pupulus Mordicus, a theatre company dedicated to puppetry for adult audiences. Together they have created outstanding performances and presented their shows on many stages (Grand Théâtre de Québec, Periscope, La Bordée) and at a number of European puppet festivals.

Recognized by his peers, his work received the “Masque de la contribution spéciale” for the puppets created for Les Survivants and Jacques et son maître.

Casteliers proudly presents the magnificent puppets of Pierre Robitaille in neighbourhood shop windows! Created for his company as well as for many others he collaborates with, each puppet testifies to his immense talent, his sensitivity and his love for his trade.
