Veritable ode to the art of storytelling, Les Routes ignorées tells the story of young Ivan Tsarevich’s incredible journey through Russia. Having set off in search of the Firebird, he meets the terrifying Grey Wolf who promptly devours his horse. Determined, Ivan continues his quest on foot while the Grey Wolf, filled with remorse, decides to use his amazing powers of metamorphosis to help our hero in his adventure. Enter a fantasy world inspired by Slavic legends!

Company

Ombres Folles uses theatre to create a world inspired by imagination. The company presents shows that spark the whimsical spirit in both young and old and is committed to the development of contemporary puppetry. Its productions explore the playful aspects of shadow and object theatre while getting us to think about our fears, our imperfections and our taboos.

Founded in 2005, Ombres Folles has created six shows and has more than 200 performances to its credit in Canada, France, Serbia and Ukraine.
