Few words
Slovenian, with simultaneous French translation

One day, Duck turns around to find Death standing behind her. As the two get to know each other, they begin discussing the meaning of life and relax into a frank and respectful camaraderie. Combining shadow theatre and live acting, this adaptation of the wonderful picture book by Wolf Erlbruch is a sensitive and elegant performance that both astonishes and touches children, offering them a poetic reflection on the importance of friendship and on the transience and fragility of life.

THE COMPANY

Lutkovno Gledališče Ljubljana (LGL) is Slovenia’s principal puppet theatre. Founded in 1948, LGL draws its inspiration from century-old Slovenian puppetry tradition, and offers performances for family and adult audiences. The company manages five regular venues and a puppetry museum. It also organizes two festivals: The Golden Stick Festival, a national performing arts festival that features the best in Slovenian theatre for children and youth, and the LUTKE International Biennial Festival of Contemporary Puppetry Art.
