The Daisy Theatre is world-renowned Canadian puppet mastermind Ronnie Burkett unleashed and unscripted in a hilarious one-man cabaret packed with 40 of the most outrageous characters you’ll ever encounter. Manipulating and voicing the entire rogue’s gallery, meet Canada’s oldest and worst actress Miss Lillian Lunkhead, chanteuse Jolie Jolie, marionette ventriloquist Meyer Lemon, and lounge singer Rosemary Focaccia. The ridiculous, tender, or bawdy antics of Daisy Theatre favourites Esme Massengill, Mrs. Edna Rural, and beloved fairy child Schnitzel lampoon theatre, opera, music hall, Vegas, and vaudeville in a nightly improv that has audiences coming back for seconds and thirds.

Ronnie Burkett has been captivated by puppetry since the age of seven, and began touring his shows around Alberta at the age of fourteen. Ronnie Burkett Theatre of Marionettes was formed in 1986 and has stimulated an unprecedented adult audience for puppet theatre, continuously playing to great critical and public acclaim on Canada’s major stages, and as a guest company on numerous international tours abroad. The Daisy Theatre is the thirteenth production from Ronnie Burkett Theatre of Marionettes, following the international successes Penny Plain, Billy Twinkle, 10 Days on Earth, Provenance and the “Memory Dress Trilogy” of Tinka’s New Dress, Street of Blood and Happy.
