Without words
Legend has it that, one day, Pythagoras was surprised to hear the sounds that blacksmiths made striking pieces of metal. They were rich, varied and sometimes harmonious, but sometimes discordant. When he returned home, the great Greek thinker quickly set to exploring sound and inventing new instruments.
In this performance, our hero, a modern-day Pythagoras, invites children aged 3 to 12 years (but also adults) to follow him in his surreal, amusing and even danceable experiments. The show was co-created by Rachel Warr (Dotted Line Theatre) and Benjamin Oliver, and is performed by the musicians of the Paramirabo ensemble.

Ensemble Paramirabo traces its roots back to 2008 at the Conservatoire de music de Montréal. The Ensemble was inspired by Paramirabo, a piece by Montréal composer Claude Vivier.
Ensemble Paramirabo, which specializes in contemporary music, won the OPUS Performer of the Year Award and has been nominated for a Juno Award. Its repertoire comprises more than 90 works. Paramirabo is strongly committed to the creation of new works, has a progressive artistic vision, and performs with exceptional musical skill. The ensemble has built a remarkable reputation nationally and internationally.
