Every morning, Monsieur sets out to sea in his little boat to go fishing. But one day, he’s the one who gets caught. . . by a gigantic factory ship! Meanwhile, Madam waits. Refusing to accept his disappearance, she sets off to search for him, boldly heading out onto the raging seas. Determined, she braves storms, confronts mischievous seagulls, and overcomes many misadventures on an extraordinary quest.

Inspired by the graphic novel of the same title, A Sea of Love is a show without words, bursting with emotion. Superb object and paper theatre, it immerses the viewer in a story of love and courage, pollution and consumerism, with humour, sensitivity, and unusual sound effects!

A worthy adaptation of the excellent graphic novel of the same name by Wilfrid Lupano and Grégory Panaccione, this paper theatre—wordless yet full of sound, precise and burlesque—is created as it unfolds, thanks to the creative fingers of the two accomplices. A gem of inventiveness, “best enjoyed before your dreams of the ocean fade away.”
