CASTELIERS IS HOLDING AN AUCTION!
Casteliers is marking its tenth anniversary with its very first auction!
During the festival’s official opening cocktail, a superb puppet donated by the Théâtre de l’Avant-Pays will be on the block:
Monsieur Simon
Monsieur Simon is an illustrious character from the play CHÂTEAU SANS ROI. Written by Joël Da Silva and directed by Michel Fréchette, the play premiered in 1997.
Monsieur Simon is a sophisticated rod puppet designed by Patrick Martel. Made of wood, plastic and fabric, it is 20 inches high (29 inches, rod included).
Monsieur Simon has performed on 214 occasions in front of as many as 60 053 spectators, on some of the country’s greatest stages such as Montréal’s Maison Théâtre and Ottawa’s National Arts Centre, to name but a few!
This is a unique opportunity – a rarity on the market!
See you Wednesday… And let the celebrations begin!
THE PAVILLON DES CASTELIERS
Converted into a cabaret theatre during the festival, the Pavillon Saint-Viateur is THE place where artists, spectators and skaters can come together for a drink, a chat, or to take in one of the many shows presented at the OUF! Off-Casteliers festival.
