Without words

Two short stories bring to life the different characters and events portrayed in Perrault’s famous tale, Little Red Riding Hood. This intimate show allows us to discover the Brazilian tradition of Lambe Lambe theatre, a miniature form of puppet theatre presented in a box for a single spectator. With a joyful mix of styles and tones, Chaperons offers us a “kaleidoscopic” view of a story we all know so well, but that still has a few surprises in store for us!

Please note:
The Lambe Lambe installation can accommodate 1 to 4 individuals from the same family per show, in compliance with COVID19 Public Health guidelines.

RUNNING TIME: 5 minutes per show / 2 different shows
TECHNIQUE: Mixed table top techniques (in a cardboard box!)

We are five women whose paths crossed at the graduate program in contemporary puppet theatre at UQAM in 2020 (DESS). We discovered the Lambe Lambe form and chose to adapt four variations of the Little Red Riding Hood tale.
