The Association québécoise des marionnettistes (AQM) is currently developing a project to create and operate a digital portal for puppetry arts, in partnership with the Portail des arts de la marionnette (PAM) at the Institut international de la marionnette (IIM) in Charleville-Mézières, France.
During Festival de Casteliers, the project’s managers will be setting up shop at Théâtre Outremont to meet with artists and companies from Québec and Canada who are eager to improve their understanding of this new tool.

The AQM’s digital portal meets several objectives: preserving cultural heritage, exploring contemporary works, and increasing awareness and appreciation of puppetry arts. It also seeks to improve the discoverability of works and artists, by making it possible to catalogue and establish links between items held in a museum or collector’s home.
