With Frétillant et Agile, Jocelyn Sioui brings Auhaïtsic, an unlikely Wendat hero, back to life. How does this total stranger, who breeds mistrust among his own people, manage to save his nation from extinction and change the course of history? A seasoned puppeteer and fabulous storyteller, Jocelyn Sioui has fun coaxing colourful, larger-than-life characters out of the shadows. Musicians and a sand artist join him to bring this touching, funny, and powerful story to life. Frétillant et Agile is based on the short story of the same name, written by Jocelyn Sioui and published by Éditions Hannenorak.

Listen to the Skawanoti podcast that complements the story. Discover the history of the First Nations peoples along the Rivière des Prairies and in Ahuntsic, where the last Indigenous village on the island of Montreal once stood.
