A money box in the shape of a giraffe changes hands and comes to life in the minds of its different owners. At first, it is a lonely little boy’s only companion. Later on, it becomes friends with a man who yearns to reach the sky. Through this giraffe money box, the story explores our relationship with the objects that help us love and dream. Masterful puppetry is combined with movement, music and light in this extraordinary piece. Starting with its very first performance, Girafe has delighted audiences and been critically acclaimed wherever it has been presented.

Company

Hop Signor was founded in 2012 by Evgenia Tsichlia and Thanos Sioris. After studying in different fields such as theatre, education and science, they discovered that puppetry offered a common ground for playfulness and expression. Hop Signor explores the potential of movement and presents poetic stories without words, stories that invite us to “complete” them with our own imagination. This is Hop Signor’s first tour in Canada.
