Part of the Café-causerie — Budding creations! event
Four creative teams present their works-in-progress.
The story takes place in a wartime detention camp where a guard watches over a prisoner as she is forced to sort, mend and wash clothes. Little by little, the laundromat transforms itself and reveals the story of countless prisoners in their hazardous journey towards death. A troubling world created through an improbable combination of poetry, humour and horror.
