Red Light! is a lighting installation made of textured and heterogeneous objects that serve as a backdrop to a short object theatre piece. It’s the story of a brothel, a man with hat, a woman with long nails and perhaps also the story of a ground meat factory’s headquarters…
Drawn to industrial design, zebra stripes, an old house’s character, the amalgamation of carefully selected objects, flea markets, the sustained notes of an oboe, the warmth of a stage light, the words carried by a voice’s tone, the manipulator’s skin on a black backdrop… it was in 2008 that Karine St-Arnaud founded the Théâtre sous la main.
