Summer is back at Lake Bellevue. In his snack bar, the Potato King is expecting his first customer of the season. In the small cottage on the other side of the lake, a late-night poet is writing the first words of a story. Inspired by the smell of French fries, he makes the Potato King the hero of his story. And then, up he goes! Swept away by the winds of inspiration, he is carried off into the night and lands on a foggy island where a very bad-mannered King of Flies lives.

Company
Théâtre Magasin has established itself in the uncanny realms of poetry. It creates quality popular theatre that combines humour and aesthetic experience. Its works are adventures of the mind, where laughter and fear intersect in a highly musical writing style.
Under the direction of Joël da Silva, a well-known figure in contemporary youth theatre, the company approaches playwriting like a handicraft project, where words, music, and objects come together to create a whole. For over twenty years, their works have appealed to both adults and children. The memorable Temps des muffins and other productions have toured in Québec, Canada, and France.
