Discussion of works-in-progress

Adults, 13 years +

Part of Café-causerie: Budding Creations! Discovering works-in-progress. . .

In a casual setting, four creative teams present their works-in-progress and take questions from audience members eager to learn more about the various stages in the development of a puppet show.

Jour bleu

Jour bleu is a new work inspired by the theatre of matter and developed over the years by Théâtre Incliné, stemming from an artistic encounter with Charly Mullot and philosophical reflections on the creation of the world. For children ages 5 and over.

In this bold presentation for young audiences, we delve into the very heart of the original chaos, just before the world’s fifth stage of creation—the Plastic Age. To chase away boredom, the gods are preparing to bring a new era to life. What will they create this time? What kind of beings will inhabit this new world?

Language: French
Running time: 45 minutes
Techniques: Light table, shadows, body, puppetry elements
Audience: Young audiences, 5 years +

Company

Founded in 1991, Théâtre Incliné has made a name for itself locally and internationally through its film-based works and unique visual shows, which have toured Europe and Asia. Known for its innovative approach, the company has forged artistic alliances in France, Italy, Japan, Norway, and Finland. Each new project is the fruit of artistic encounters and explorations where matter, bodies, video, light, and music come to life all together, creating fragmented universes that the viewer reassembles… to form poetic theatre.
