Pretty much everyone has seen a goose waddling along the roadside. Have you ever wondered what’s on her mind? Or what she dreams of? The creators of this show asked themselves these questions and have been in shock ever since they discovered that a goose, just like us, can be depressed! But can this skinny, ugly, lonely goose ever find happiness? Find out in this laughter-filled performance about searching and finding a meaning to life. All kinds of animals (and a vegetable!) join in the quest: chicken, hare, deer, rooster, rabbit, wild goose, otter, wolf and yes, even a carrot!
Since it premiered in Poland in 2014, Oh! L’Oie, l’Oie! has met with tremendous critical and popular acclaim. This is one of renowned playwright Marta Gušniowska’s best plays and her first stage direction. The show is performed for the first time in French at Festival de Casteliers.

Company
The Poznań Puppet Theatre was established in 1945 and has changed name over the years as it explored various creative movements. In 1989, it became the Teatr Animacji (Animation Theatre) and has since been performing creations with an original aesthetic that combines traditional actors’ theatre with puppetry and object theatre. The company’s quality productions and talented creative team have received many awards.
Most of their shows are for children and youth audiences, but the company also presents more experimental productions for adult audiences. Both traditional fairy tales and contemporary art influence the Teatr Animacji repertoire. The company strives to expand children’s imagination as well as their independent thought as it fosters their appreciation for aesthetics. The company presents shows, workshops, story-telling activities and exhibitions that encourage children to open their minds, gain a better understanding of the modern world, and participate fully in European culture. Since 2013, Teatr Animacji has organized a biennial children’s theatre festival. Marek Waszkiel Ph.D., historian, theatre critic and professor at the National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw and Bialystok, has directed the company since 2014.
