Part of the Café-causerie — Budding creations! event
Four creative teams present their works-in-progress.

Bijoux is a music box that opens up, revealing a little girl and an old lady dancing in the ballerina’s place. It’s an encounter between contemporary Montréal and the city’s cabaret nightlife in the 1950s. A story about fragmented recollections and a spirit searching for lost memories. A tale of two characters that believe they are weeds as they try to push through the cracks in the asphalt.

Company

Marie-Claude Labrecque has worked as a puppeteer, scenographer and creator with a number of companies (Théâtre en l’air, La Dame de Cœur, Théâtre Motus). Here she joins creative forces with Caroline Tanguay, an actress, playwright and puppeteer that has worked with several Québec companies dedicated to creating original works (Nuages en pantalon, Pupulus Mordicus, Ex Machina) to produce their first collaborative performance, Bijoux (working title). A show where music, theatre and puppetry come together.
