In a casual setting, four creative teams present their works-in-progress and take questions from audience members eager to learn more about the various stages in the development of a puppet show.

“I met a young girl who was mute. Why would a young girl suffer from mutism? How can I help her? How does one enact silence with puppets and objects?” These are some of the questions Salim Hammad has asked himself while developing this show.

Company
Salim Hammad, of the Salim Bo Marionnettes company, sees puppet theatre as a way of exploring life’s challenges in a light-hearted way, and through poetry. A puppeteer for some twenty years, he performs and creates shows for young audiences. Salim Hammad received the 2024 Charles Biddle Award, in the national-international category.
