Part of the Café-causerie : Budding Creations!  live-streamed event, avaiable online afterward.

In a casual setting, four creative teams present their work-in-progress and answer questions from the public eager to learn more about the various stages involved in the development of a puppet show.

Frétillant et Agile – Work-in-progress

With Frétillant et Agile, Jocelyn Sioui brings Auhaïtsic, an unlikely Wendat hero, back to life. How does this total stranger, who breeds mistrust among his own people, manage to save his nation from extinction and change the course of history?

With a rich soundtrack and the enchantment of sand theatre, Jocelyn Sioui coaxes colourful, larger- than-life characters out of the shadows. The author of Mononk Jules, which he adapted for the stage, Sioui knows that we must beware of still waters.

Target audience: All audiences
Running time: 90 minutes
Techniques: Sand and shadow theatre
