A Groupe Le Vivier and Casteliers copresentation

The Sixtrum percussion ensemble guides it young audiences in an exploration of an archipelago of a thousand sounds. Created as a journey into the world of percussions, L’Archipel aux mille sons invites children on a meandering tour of islands that are a series of musical tableaus inspired by wind and water. Ushering younger spectators into a frenzied dance, our musician-explorers showcase the various aspects of contemporary percussions.

Sixstrum proposes an unbridled exploration of contemporary percussions that is strongly rooted in major works of the 20th century. Bringing together multi-talented virtuosos, Sixtrum continuously renews its creative vision by confronting it with other disciplines and artistic genres. With every new collaboration, the ensemble finds unprecedented forms of expression, as well as creative ways to move audiences. The objective: to transform our relationship to music.

Le Vivier is a specialized presenter and an association of 57 members. The groups’ mission is to promote the development of original music and to make culture accessible to all. Le Vivier focuses on original works, creative research and innovation when considering works from either the local, national or international repertoire. Every year, Le Vivier curates a selection of performances that showcase the richness and effervescence of their creators.
