A terrible storm rages. From high atop Mount Olympus, Jupiter is furious with the humans below. Yet two old men, Philemon and Baucis, remain strangely calm. Astonished, Jupiter and his trusted sidekick Mercury descend from the heavens, sparking a series of incredible adventures.
Philemon and Baucis, based on Haydn’s opera, is L’Illusion, Théâtre de marionnettes’s latest creation. The company has been creating, producing, and presenting shows for 35 years that showcase puppetry arts in all their diversity.
