soul mates is a poetic ode to the joy of the Wild Child that exists inside each one of us. A cross between visual art and performance art, soul mates is an ode to the coming together of the human soul and its wild sisters, whose multiple forms are embodied in nature. It’s also an ode to childhood, where living in the present moment, in one’s body and one’s senses, comes naturally. soul mates dares to offer a moment of silence, beauty, and wonder, inviting audiences of all ages to experience a moment of timelessness.

Magali Chouinard is a multidisciplinary artist who combines her visual arts practice with the language of puppetry. Working with masks and puppets allows her to set her visual world in motion by incorporating the performing arts, illustrated books, and animated film. Her works invite us to embrace the contemplative rhythm of images while observing the emotions and impressions they spark within us.
