Mémoires d’un volcan draws the spectator into the confidences of an artist inhabited by the peregrinations of a woman and her mysterious black notebook. In the puppeteers’ hands, fragments of the little notebook gradually reveal themselves, recounting the intersecting destinies of two artists and their friendship
Mémoires d’un volcan is a tribute to the creative force and the transformative power that pulse within each of us. With a great love for life, ever ephemeral, fleeting. . . as tomorrow is already upon us.
Ubus Théâtre is renowned for the beauty of its shows, whose strength lies in the art of storytelling, of image theatre, puppetry, and miniature objects. Aboard its small-scale portable theatre, the company creates intimate works of great humanity.

Company
Whether in major urban centres or remote areas, Ubus Théâtre’s artistic mission is to “bring theatre to the people” by presenting puppet shows and small-scale productions for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Since its founding in 2004, the company’s originality has lain in its mode of transmission: the yellow school bus that the founder’s father bequeathed to his children upon his death, and which was initially intended to transport nature lovers to Tadoussac’s unrivalled landscapes. Unbeknownst to him, it has become a stage for human adventure. . .
