L’Enfant de l’eau-delà

The sea is the earth’s eye, the guardian of the lives of those who have disappeared into it. In L’Enfant de l’eau delà, the sea tells the story of a child who died in her waters. For a moment, the sea assumes the colours of this short life and lets us see the child’s face once again. But will his soul be forever condemned to wander in the waves?

Company

Established in Neuville, on the Saint-Lawrence shore near Québec City, Le Chemin qui marche is an object, shadow and puppet theatre company whose roots are firmly grounded in Dostoyevsky’s words: “beauty will save the world”, as the company endeavours to create poetic and symbolic worlds. Encounters with the Other, the search for meaning, and the world of all that is visible and invisible are the subjects the company cherishes most.

They create musical or literary shows with or without words for all audiences. They work, for the most part, with things found in nature or recycled objects.
