A row of old, not particularly pretty books in whose pages the entire world is hidden. When I open these books, I discover textures, shapes, sounds, colours, objects, and perhaps even countries, little people, animals and all sorts of ideas that spark my curiosity and make my heart beat.

When I see the word “reading” I always get a strong sense of the word “relating”. I want to continue to learn to read, in my own way, and for the rest of my life. How about you?

Company

Founded in 1988 by artist Nathalie Derome, Des mots d’la dynamite theatre company is an interdisciplinary creation company for both adult and youth audiences. The company has created more than 50 performances and 18 interdisciplinary shows that have been presented in Québec, Canada, the United States, Cuba and Europe.

In 2007, Des mots d’la dynamite began a new creative cycle focusing on a specific audience, namely toddlers aged 18 months to 5 years: Le Spectacle de l’arbre (2009), Where I Live (2013), Slow Magic (2016), That’s my Sister! (2019) as well as a walk-through production, The Alley of Little Secrets (2017).
