Exhibition: A Story with Marionettes – The Șesan Family Collection

Thursday, March 7: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday, March 8: 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday, March 9: 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Sunday, March 10: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In conjunction with the presentation of the animated short film Littlemary, this exhibition marks the 90th anniversary of the founding of UNIMA, the international association of puppeteers, in Prague in 1929. The eminent professor of ecclesiastical law Valerian Şesan and his wife, a puppetry arts enthusiast, guided their children in the creation of puppet shows. The pioneering Şesan family represented Romania at the foundation of UNIMA, next to the six other founding countries: Czechoslovakia, France, Italy, the Soviet Union, Great Britain and Yugoslavia.

The video documentary A story with marionettes (20 min. loop) will also be presented. A wonderful opportunity to listen to an interview with Lucian Boldor, great-grandson of Valerian Sesan, at the exhibition opening at the Museum of Urban Civilization in Braşov (Romania) in 2017.
