WORLD PREMIERE

Innamorati is a suite of short pieces of contemporary music performed by four luminous musicians and liberally illustrated by two benevolent puppeteers.

While Columbine rises and Zanni tries to catch her feet, birds chatter while musicians play the springs. These unlikely lovers meet on a sheet of paper where they intertwine to win a final race against death.

Running time: 50 minutes

Techniques: shadow, object and puppet theatre, live video, and manipulated illustrations

As a special bonus, same-day Innamorati ticket holders can attend the short form Pantition, presented at the petit Outremont. Seating is limited.

Company

Marcelle Hudon is interested in the unique languages of puppet, shadow, and object theatre. She collaborates with visual artists, sound designers, and theatre artists to create performances where everything is possible, and nothing is predictable. Her creations have been presented in the Americas and in Europe.

Quatuor Bozzini cultivates an ethos of experimentation, boldly venturing off the beaten path and propelling Montréal’s hyper-creativity onto the world stage, with over 500 commissions for composers. Their concept-to-production collaborative approach allows them to develop transdisciplinary projects with visual, dance, and theatre artists.
