Outdoor performance presented in front of the MIAM

After two years of renovation work, the former Outremont fire hall stables have been transformed into a magnificent home where puppetry arts can thrive.

Just a stone’s throw from the library, which is also inaugurating a consultation room dedicated to the discipline, the Maison internationale des arts de la marionnette (MIAM) is finally emerging from the shadows to welcome artists and the general public to its bright and cheery spaces.

A fully equipped workshop, a creative laboratory and various types of expertise come together in this made-to-measure centre. On Saturday, March 9, stable grooms give way to puppeteers and artisans who will present an inaugural shadow and light performance, followed by a festive evening at the Pavillon Saint-Viateur!

Watch for the countdown to the event presented in the Théâtre Outremont window, where Claude Rodrigue’s puppets will come alive every day during Festival de Casteliers week at 5:45 p.m.
